South Korea develop new steel materials than titanium strength twice as high

South Korea’s Pohang University Engineering Group has successfully developed a new type of steel material, the material than twice the strength of titanium.

The team found that adding aluminum to aluminum and ordinary steel, after heat treatment, its metal hardness and flexibility will be enhanced.

It is reported that after several tests, the research team eventually successfully developed the new steel materials.

This steel hardness and flexibility than the high-strength titanium even higher than twice, and its price is only one-tenth of titanium, can be applied to the manufacture of automotive materials, ahead of the vehicle to achieve lightweight.
