Reduce or overturn the vacuum speed of light Einstein's theory

According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, in any frame of reference, the speed of light in a vacuum is a constant. But scientists recently succeeded to let light in free space (free space, perfect vacuum) velocity drop down.

Researchers University of Glasgow and Heriot-Watt University, conducted an experiment. In the experiment, the scientists installed a special “barrier”, a single photon in adopting this arrangement, form will change, and the speed has decreased.

Amazingly, after the adoption of this special “barrier”, even if the return to free space, the photon will continue to be the front line of a lower speed. This experiment shows that light may know the structure is more complex than humans.

According to Einstein’s theory, the speed of light in free space of about 300,000 kilometers per second. When passing water, glass and other media, the speed of light will go down, but as long as free space again return to the speed of light would return to normal.

The researchers said, “Reducing the speed of light” method can be used for more physics experiments, human or nature can unlock more mystery.
